Jose grew up in the small, humble village of Guayameo, Guerrero, surrounded by lush greenery, nature, and small lakes. His childhood was filled with days spent playing outside with his brothers and sisters in those beautiful landscapes. The connection he formed with nature during those years became a core part of who he was.

When Jose moved to California, he found work with various companies in the gardening and landscaping industry. Over more than ten years, he learned the trade and developed a deep passion for bringing natural beauty into people’s lives.

Yet, he felt the need for something more—a way to connect his work with the love for nature he had nurtured in Guayameo. That’s when Jose and his wife, Alma, decided to start "Affordable Gardening Services and Landscaping." Alma, who has a passion for designing, selling, and meeting new people, shared his vision. Together, they wanted to create a business that reflected their shared values.

As of 2024, their son, Jay Benitez, who studied Business Economics at Sonoma State University and Political Science at Stanford University, joined the team. Jay became a co-owner and an investor in the company, bringing fresh perspectives and expanding the business further.

"Affordable Gardening Services and Landscaping" became more than just a landscaping service; it was a way to bring the beauty of nature into their clients’ lives, just as Jose had experienced growing up. With Alma’s enthusiasm for ensuring client satisfaction, Jose’s hand-eye ability, and Jay’s expertise, they made the perfect team, transforming spaces into something special for each person they worked with.
